About the app

CORTA Chat is a business service that brings customer messages from WhatsApp, Instagram, Telegram, and other channels into a single inbox. The app is intended for company employees — managers and administrators who communicate with customers.

How to delete your account

Method 1. In the mobile app (recommended)

Open the CORTA Chat app and sign in to your account.
Go to the Settings tab.
Tap Delete account.
Confirm deletion in the dialog.

After confirmation, your account and related personal data will be deleted permanently with no recovery option. You will be signed out of the app automatically.

Method 2. Through support

If you cannot sign in to the app or deletion is unavailable for technical reasons, send a request to support:

Please include in your request:

the email address linked to the account;
the company (workspace) name where you are registered;
a request to delete the account.

Support operators are available 24/7.

When deletion may be unavailable

In some cases the app will not allow you to delete the account yourself:

you are the only administrator or owner of the company;
the company has an active subscription to the service.

In these situations, contact support — we will help transfer rights to another employee or complete the subscription before deletion.

What data is deleted

When your account is deleted, the following is removed:

Data category	Examples
Profile data	first name, last name, email address, phone number, avatar, role in the company
Authentication data	sign-in credentials, session tokens
Company association	link to the workspace (tenant)
Activity data	assigned chats, notifications, user settings in the system

Locally stored session data on the device is also removed (access tokens, selected company, theme and language settings).

What data may be retained

After your account is deleted, the following may remain:

Data category	Reason
Customer conversations	if you participated in company chats, message history may remain in the company workspace as part of CRM data
Media files	documents, photos, videos, and voice messages sent in chats may be stored in the company system
Company data	the company workspace, connected channels (WhatsApp, Instagram, Telegram, and others), message templates, and other business data are not deleted when one user is deleted
Backups	data may be temporarily stored in server backups for the period set by the information security policy

Deletion timelines

Account deletion in the app is performed immediately after confirmation.
A support request is processed within 30 calendar days from the date the request is received.
Backups may be retained for up to 90 days after deletion, after which they are permanently destroyed.

Difference from signing out

Sign out is a temporary exit from the app. Your account and all data remain, and you can sign in again.

Delete account is the permanent deletion of your user account and related personal data.
